Albon is no longer available for sale.  We are very sorry for this inconvenience.  The State of Oregon has informed us that we are not able to sell this over-the-counter product since it has been repackaged, if we continue to sell it we could be heavily fined.  We may never be able to sell it again.  Again very sorry.  :-(

Dose Chart for Reptiles:  Weigh your reptile in grams and use the chart below to figure out how much to give.

Top 3 vet recommended treatment schedules for treating coccidia are as follows:

50 mg/kg dose for 5 days, then every other day until fecal is negative.
75 mg/kg dose the first day, then 50 mg/kg for the next 6 days.  (This is the one we use.)

If you are needing to dose a cat or dog or other type of non-reptile, you'll need to research the proper dose.

How is it that I am able to offer Albon without a prescription? We have a lot of rescues that require Albon, so we contacted a local compounder to see about making a 5% Albon solution since you can buy the active ingredient in sulfadimethoxine over the counter at many feed stores or online without a prescription. But it's not designed to be used orally since it's a much higher concentration and is not flavored (it's extremely bitter). Our Albon contains the same active ingredient as prescription Albon at the same concentration. The only difference is the flavoring/mixing agent that we use to make it more palatable. THIS IS GENERIC ALBON!  IT IS FLAVORED DIFFERENTLY THAN THE PRESCRIPTION STUFF, AND IT LOOKS DIFFERENT.

What else do I need to know? Keep the reptile well hydrated. After treating a reptile with Albon, you should replenish the good bacteria in the intestine with Acidophiliz+. Most antibiotics and parasite medications wipe out both the good and bad bacteria. Your reptile will be at a higher risk of getting Yellow Fungus Disease if the good bacteria is not replenished. Also, treating with Acidophiliz+ after any type of medication will help increase appetite and energy levels.

You will need to refrigerate Albon once you receive it.

A syringe is not included, if you need one please order one here...
